Ora Williams, a brakeman on the Monon Railroad, who was killed Sunday morning in Ladoga, was brought to his father’s where the funeral services were conducted at half past two Monday by Rev. Murray, of Ladoga. We deeply sympathize with the family. -s

Sunday morning about two o’clock, Ora Williams, a Monon brakeman, was instantly killed at Ladoga while coupling cars on the Y. He was with the north bound local and went in to couple up, carrying his lantern with him. When he failed to signal the engineer an investigation was made and he was found crushed to death between the couplings. A great hold had been literally punched through him. He lived in Lafayette and leaves a wife and four children. He was a son of Isom Williams, of Whitesville, and a nephew of Ben Williams, of this city. He was a highly respected young man with many friends here. -s
